Like before most weddings, I sat in my car nervous of the days events. Going over in my head, making sure we didn't leave anything in our hotel room that was 30 minutes away. Today's nervousness was a little different though, rarely do we never meet with the couple before the wedding, us being in Arizona and them being in Texas/New Mexico. When I finally hopped out of our car, Soozie ran up to me and gave me the best hug I think I have ever received. Welcomed us with open arms and started introducing us to their wonderful family and friends. From then it was like Brandon and I were part of their family and the nervousness left. It was amazing watching this tiny community in West Texas, friends, and family surround Soozie and Jake and help them put together their amazing country wedding. The only vendor that was hired was Brandon and I, everything else was done by them. The tables and benches, made by Jake out of old pallets. The ribbon backdrop at the ceremony, done by Soozie and her friends. The food that was served, was provided and made by their church. Her flowers, picked off the side of the road. But with all the awesome details to the day, I think our favorite part was just watching and being around Soozie and Jake and their insane love for one another. As Brandon and I were driving back home, we were overcome with the joy and love we had for both of them.
